Individual Therapy

Often at the core of depression, anxiety, substance abuse and/or addictions are personal challenges.

These change points are frequently tied to emotions that are difficult to manage. Getting support with emotional challenges can make the difference between just "getting through" something difficult and growing stronger through something difficult.

Tapping into their respective areas of specialized training and expertise, Margarete and Pantea begin by thoroughly understanding their client's attachment history, as well as how they were supported (or not) through difficult changes in their past.

Margarete primarily uses Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) for individual therapy. EFT is a highly researched and clinically proven therapy for personal change.  Contrary to some therapy approaches that support minimizing or marginalizing emotion, EFT supports achieving a clear understanding of your emotions, regulating them when necessary, and using emotion to determine what you need in the present moment. This supports resilience and clearer decision making which leads to  resolution of previously troubling thoughts, behaviors and relationship interactions.
